PADI Wreck Diver

To subscribe to the PADI Wreck Diver Course you need to be minimum 15 years old and have finished the Open Water Diver course successfully.

During the PADI Wreck Diver Course you will see the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of diving wrecks.

Your instructor will teach you how to navigate safely on and around a wreck. He will show you how to perform a survey and how to do a mapping. The course also covers the techniques of using lines. Your instructor will also learn you the correct fin kicks in order to preserve visibility. He will also tell you everything about diving equipment considerations for diving on wrecks.

The PADI Wrecks Diver Course combine visual, reading, writing and practical learning techniques to ensure you really understand each section of the course.

During the 4 open water dives your will have the opportunity to put into practice all what you learned. You will navigate on a wreck such that the point of ascent can be found without returning to the surface. You will explore the outside of the wreck, staying well trimmed and recognize and avoid potential hazards under the supervision of your instructor. You will practice how to remain neutral and position your body in such a way that the soil is not touched. You will investigate whether a wreck can be entered and assess where possible entrances are. Your instructor will demonstrate how to roll up a safety line that you will also exercise this while working in a buddy team. You will also navigate along the safety line in such a way that contact is maintained with the line and using a dive light.

Duration: The course takes 2 days to complete.

Schedule: Day 1: Theory, knowledge reviews and 2 wreck dives.
