PADI Enriched Air Diver Course (Nitrox)

The latest way to safely give you more time underwater is to dive with enriched air. Better known as Nitrox, this higher oxygen mix of diving gas can make you feel less fatigued and increases your bottom time.

For those who don’t know, what is enriched air exactly? Well it is mixture that has more oxygen and less nitrogen than the air you bread normally. The 2 commonly mixtures of enriched air are the one with 32 % of oxygen and the one with 36 % of oxygen.

During the course you will learn to set your dive computer for diving with enriched air. Your instructor will also teach you how to manage oxygen exposure. You will practice how to check and analyze oxygen content in your tank. Your instructor will discuss with you all diving equipment considerations for diving with enriched air. Safety considerations of diving with enriched air is definitely a topic of this course. Your instructor will also explain you why diving with enriched air allows you to dive longer and to go back sooner in the water.

Upon completion of the PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox) Course you will be certified to use Nitrox to a maximum of 40 % as a recreational diving gas.

Certification: By completing the course you will obtain the PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty certificate.

Duration: It takes 1/2 day to 1 day to complete.
