Course Description

The participants of the PADI Rescue Diver Course must be at least 15 years old. They have to be in the possession of the Open Water Diver certificate. They also had to finished successfully the Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care Course (CPR & First Aid) in the last 24 months.

During the PADI Rescue Diver Course you will learn self-reliance and how to recognize problems, to prevent them and how you can help to solve them with your buddy or another diver present at the dive site.

A mix of theory, swimming pool sessions for basic skills and practice in the open water create a very varied and interesting course.

This course increases your knowledge and experience on everything you already know about how to prevent and solve problems, if they occur.

Your instructor will teach the self-saving skills. He will learn you to recognize and help stress with other divers. You will also learn how to act in the event of an emergency. Your instructor will show you how to help a panicked diver and an unresponsive diver. You will learn to detect eventual problems even before they may occur.

In the swimming pool or shallow water you will practice with your instructor the water exercises in order to get the necessary rescue skills.

In open water you will use these skills through several different dive scenarios.

The PADI Rescue Diver Course will learn you to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and comfort of other divers.

Certification: After completing the course you will obtain your PADI Deep Diver certificate.

Duration: You will need 4 days to complete the course.

Schedule: Day 1: Theory and knowledge reviews.

Day 2 & 3: You will practice 10 rescue exercises.

Day 4: You will do several rescue scenarios.
